Scanwel to attend the UK Surface Analysis Forum (UKSAF) winter meeting 2023

Scanwel is attending the UK Surface Analysis Forum (UKSAF) Winter meeting 2023 on 11th & 12th January, alongside our partners, SPECS Group and IONTOF. The theme is “Surface Analysis in Support of Product Development and Manufacture”.

The UK Surface Analysis Forum (UKSAF) is a society for scientists from academia and industry with a common interest in the techniques and applications of surface analysis. It meets twice yearly, in January and July, to discuss the latest research and issues of interest to the surface analysis community and to exchange views on current trends. In addition to these regular meetings the group collaborates with other scientific and industrial groups to promote and communicate the vital role played by surface analysis in both industry and academia.

Andreas Thissen of SPECS Group will be presenting on Novel instrumentation for routine surface chemical analysis on biological materials and other challenging samples.

The event will also provide an opportunity to introduce SPECS Group EnviroMETROS, The novel EnviroMETROS series revolutionizes the field of surface hybrid metrology. As core method angle resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy with variable photon energy and variable spot sizes under variable environmental conditions is used for thin film and bulk chemical analysis. LEISS allows high ultimate surface sensitivity.
