Bala, North Wales – 8th April 2025 – Scanwel Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of high and ultra-high vacuum hardware and systems, is proud to announce the acquisition of Advance Engineering Services (AES), a precision engineering firm based in Hastings. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in Scanwel’s ongoing growth and lays the foundation for a stronger, more capable group serving the evolving needs of the scientific vacuum sector.
The acquisition brings together Scanwel’s 50-year legacy of vacuum engineering with AES’s specialised expertise in high-specification component manufacturing. The result is a powerful and complementary partnership that will expand in-house manufacturing capacity, accelerate innovation, and broaden the group’s ability to deliver complex, high-quality solutions for customers in research, OEM, and industrial markets.
