Scanwel announces merger with Projectina

Scanwel today announces its merger with Projectina, bringing together the businesses as the Scanwel Group, to create a specialist engineering, manufacturing and technology business serving the scientific, forensic and industrial markets, with an expanded geographical footprint taking in Projectina’s operations in Switzerland.

The combination of Scanwel’s advanced engineering and bespoke scientific systems expertise with Projectina’s precision optical and forensic technology capabilities creates a complementary platform with an enhanced ability to deliver end-to-end engineered solutions across high-precision scientific, industrial and forensic markets, leveraging deep technical know-how and expanded product offerings.

Adam Bartlett has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Scanwel Group with effect from 1 January 2026. As part of this role, Adam will assume executive leadership responsibility for Projectina, taking over from Andy Archibald, who retired on 31 December 2025 following a planned transition period.
