What will the role of Workshop Manager entail?
Reporting to the Managing Director, as a Workshop Manager you will be working as part of a team of engineers dedicated to producing the best quality high precision products.
-Member of the company management team, representing the workshop and contributing to the overall management of the business.
-Production of budgets, targets required to run the workshop and the monitoring performance in line with agreed company objectives.
-Liaising between sales, design, production, and procurement to give delivery dates, costs and ensure they are met.
– Scheduling Production to meet time, design and cost targets.
-Optimisation of resources/production
-Production of bill of materials. Ensuring components/materials are in place to meet production requirement.
-Motivation, training, recruitment of workshop team
-Maintenance, repair and purchase of machinery
-Health and safety
