Scanwel has appointed John O’Donnell, as Regional Sales Manager North, to support our customers in the North of the UK and to co-ordinate sales activities and market development within the region.

John has extensive knowledge of the industry, with over 25 years of experience, mainly in Semiconductor and Nanotechnology, a Batchelors Degree (Distinction) in Engineering and Management and a Physics Post Grad in Advanced Thin Film Technology from the University of West Scotland.

John says, “There are many challenges for our customers right now in terms of the supply chain and on site support, due both to COVID and Brexit, and as a local UK manufacturing company, I look forward to being able to provide support to our customers for their projects and research”.

Alastair Crawford, Sales Manager, says “We are very pleased to welcome John to the sales team. With his wealth of experience and positive and enthusiastic nature, he is going to be a real asset to the business and will be able to provide local support for our customers in the North”.

Outside work, John also keeps himself very busy. He has his own custom guitar pedal business, plays in a local band and is a part time Engineering lecturer at the West College, Scotland.
